Fundamental Awareness Advocacy Movement aka FAAAM Outreach Foundation is a community-based Health Education organization that seeks to impact, educate and empower disenfranchised members of the community about their healthcare rights as well as educating people on ways to stay healthy. 

We seek to expand the knowledge base related to health-related information among our current and future clients. We are constantly expanding our program to include more classes and resources to enhance the experience of our participants. 

We seek out instructors who take a holistic approach to wellbeing. We take a contemporary approach to discuss physical, mental and financial empowerment that will lead to improving one’s quality of life in the following ways: 

We are committed to educating seniors regarding healthcare options. We foster participation targeting both the male and female populations with workshops.

Senior Specific programming that focuses on:

  • aging in place 
  • utilizing community resources  
  • support in the home 
  • clinic 
  • outpatient  
  • hospital

We facilitate veteran rehabilitative specific workshops focusing on:

  • culturally sensitive personal development 
  • health empowerment education regarding civilian benefits (Entitlements) and how they work  
  • coordination with VA Benefits 

We provide activities and conduct workshops and classes at:

  • Community events
  • Festivals
  • Health facilities/Clinics

Temporary or permanent resource centers at:

  • Senior Centers 
  • Recreation centers 
  • Libraries 
  • Low-income and supportive housing 

Our goal is to produce quantitative improvement of overall health, sense of wellbeing and personal empowerment in the communities that we service.  

We create and develop opportunities for young people interested in entering health delivery fields  (17-30) to interact with seniors and disabled people of color in an environment where the culturally sensitive methodology is part of the work culture. 

We create programs that provide training and mentorship the following areas:

  • Health Equity 
  • Healthy eating demonstrations 
  • Health Insurance 
  • Community-based programs 
  • Outreach event coordination
